Sunset Showdown is a new video slot in what supplier Microgaming is calling
their advanced slots range. The main addition seems to be a re-spin feature,
which gives you an extra 3 spins for free at the same bet as the previous
one. There's also a cool bonus game and a gamble feature. Theme-wise this
is another Wild West game, with more lifelike character symbols than is
often the case - this isn't one of the kiddie cartoon slots, but more
an adult cartoon one.
Sunset Showdown Slot comes in the form of 5 reels and 25 paylines - you
can select how many paylines you want to play on, and bet anything from
1 to 10 coins per line. Coin sizes range from $0.01 to $0.25, making for
a maximum bet of $62.50. In return you can expect a top payout of 75,000
coins (or $18,650). So a nice mid-sized slot that isn't going to break
the bank and that can earn you a very nice payout. The Cowgirl is the
Wild symbol, acting the usual substitute role, and doubling the win when
she does so. The Gamble feature is the standard card suit and color choice
game, wherein you can double or quadruple your payout after each win.
Then there's the re-spin feature - if you get the Cowgirl anywhere on
reels one and five you win 3 extra free spins, which spin off straight
away at the same bet as the triggering bet, with wins added together for
all 4 spins. The Bonus game is the Baddy feature, which is triggered when
you get 3 or more scattered Revolver symbols. You get to cruise down the
main street shooting the bad guys off the top off buildings, and win prizes
once you have shot 5 of them. It's a lot of fun.
Well then, saddle up and ride on into the town of slots dreams - you
could leave by sunset with a whole lot of cash in your saddle bags.
