Spider-Man Slot - finally one of the most loved superheroes comes to
the slot reels, courtesy of Cryptologic. The game supplier has the licence
to create slots based on the famous Marvel characters, and this is one
of the latest releases in the series.
Spider-Man Slot takes a familiar form. It has 5 reels and you can choose
to play any number of lines from 1 to 25. There's a very nice wide coin
size range that you can use as well, so if you want to play for the bare
mimimum of 1c a spin, you can do so - or you can dial it all the way up
to a $5 coin size and bet one coin on every single line, making for quite
a substantial bet of $125. There are 3 separate random jackpots that can
be won, which are awarded completely randomly, rather than requiring you
to hit any combination.
But Spider-Man isn't just a theme in this game - he also pops onto the
reels as a wild symbol. It's the usual walk-on role - completing combinations
that pay you out, but only when it appears on reels 2 and 4. It does more
than this however - it also opens up the Spider Web bonus feature. This
isn't a game that you play - instead the whole of the third reel becomes
wild and extra payouts are calculated for you accordingly.
There is also a second bonus game, triggered by the scatter symbol -
if 3 or more game logos apears, you get a choice - you can opt for 15
free spins where your wins are doubled, or you can play the Venom game.
In the latter you need to lead Spider-Man through the streets to find
Venom - until you hit a dead end. What a great game - we had a great time,
