April 15- The gambling market in Peru will soon receive a boost with the
supply of several hundred new slot machines, thanks to a lucrative deal signed
between the local gaming company, Mixtel and InterAmerican Gaming corp,
a wholly-owned subsidiary of Racino Royale.
Mixtel owns a license to import machines to the Peruvian slots market
and a deal with this company will give InterAmerican an excellent foothold into
the local gambling industry.
Focusing primarily on the Latin American market, InterAmerican is a private
casino management company and will bring a wealth of experience to the Peruvian
slots industry. Under the terms of the new agreement, InterAmerican will supply
Mixtel with one hundred slot machines, with another one hundred in the pipeline
should their be a demand.
Mixtel, on the other hand, will be responsible for operating the machines
under strict Peruvian slots regulations.
John G. Simmonds, President and CEO of Casino Royale said about the new deal:
"This is a significant step forward in our Latin American gaming strategy. In
January we announced our acquisition of InterAmerican, noting several exciting
opportunities in this market. This agreement with Mixtel is hopefully the first
among many - their experience and position in the market make them an ideal
gaming partner for us in Latin American."
Mixtel will have the slot machines placed in licensed casinos across the
country. InterAmerican will receive a certain percentage of all revenue received
on each slot machine and will offer a bonus to Mixtel based on the overall
performance of the slots program. As such, it is in Mixtel's best interest to
have the machines placed in strategic positions to increase their revenues.
