June 25 - Playtech's Beach Life progressive slot game was hit for $1,552,778. This is the fifth time in the last year that Beach Life's jackpot has been hit. Although it is one of the more popular online progressive slot jackpots, Beach Life has recently also received some negative publicity.
Three of the progressive jackpots that have been won, including the one that has just been hit, have been hit at amounts of over a million dollars. Two of the progressive jackpot winners at two different online casinos have had problems receiving their payouts.
Sylvia, who won a jackpot of over four million dollars, the largest jackpot in the past year, had trouble receiving her payouts from Joyland Casino. The casino placed a lot of pressure on her and she eventually agreed to settle for half the amount she was meant to win.
Another winner, this time from African Palace Casino, had agreed to take her winnings in installments. Marie Van Wyk from South Africa received two installments, after which African Palace Casino simply stopped paying. Marie is still in the process of trying to get her winnings from the online casino, and has already taken her grievance to the press.
While the name of the most recent Beach Life winner has not yet been released, and the name of the online casino at which the jackpot was hit is a mystery, Playtech can only hope that this latest progressive slot hit will be fully paid out in a timely manner, and not bring their flagship game any more negative publicity.
