 May 29 - Online Vegas, powered by Vegas Technologies, decided to be especially generous to their regular players and ran a weekend online slots tournament in which thousands of dollars of cash prizes were handed out. The tournament, named the $30K Guaranteed Slots Tournament ended on Tuesday and saw Divine walk away with first prize of $10,000.
There were almost 1600 participants in the online slots tournament and the weekend was full of nervous anticipation for Divine and several other players who had reached the top scoring levels.
The winner, Divine, had a closing balance of $69,260, beating the second player 2Dollars who had scored $41,382. At one point in the tournament, 2Dollars threatened to topple Divine when he made a huge surge, but the gap eventually grew to a state that was unattainable.
One of the players at Online Vegas' tournament was Big Money 39 and he said that 'this was one of the best tournaments that I have been a part of since signing up at Online Vegas. The extra day off had a big impact on me being able to play longer into the tournament."
The prizes handed out by Online Vegas, did not reach Big Money 39, but dozens of other players walked away with cash in hand. Seventy five players, in total, received payments ranging from $10,000 to $25. The top ten prizes were handed out to individuals, with the tenth receiving $375.
Ten other winners received $250 each, a further ten received $200, ten more won $150 and the next group of ten walked away with $100. The last two groups of ten each received $50 and $25 respectively.
