May 2 - Yesterday, visitors to the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino
resort in Tampa Florida were thrilled to discover seven hundred new slot
machines, reminiscent of Vegas-style playing. The casino is run by the powerful
Seminole tribe of Florida.
The Hard Rock slots are the first wave of machines that form
part of the 1600 slot machines that are planned to be installed in the casino by
June this year. Slot machines will thereafter make up half the gaming machines
at the casino.
Speaking about the new Hard Rock slots, the chairman of the casino,
Mitchell Cypress said: "This is a great day for the Seminole Tribe. This is good
for our players in Tampa Bay, good for the Seminole Tribe and good for the State
of Florida."
The Seminole Tribe applied for permission from the State of Florida
to expand its slots offerings and install a further 15,000 machines across the
seven resorts that it controls. An agreement was reached between the two parties
on January 7th and the introduction of new slot machines soon began taking
place,
The Hard Rock slots will offer players a wide range of gambling
options, including themed slot games based on popular casino games such as
roulette, blackjack, video poker, Keno and others.
In addition, players will be able to find all their favorite slot
machines, including Wheel of Fortune, Ten Times Play, Triple Lucky Seven,
Millionaire Sevens, Secrets of the Nile, Playboy and more.
The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino features 250 luxurious rooms in a
AAA 4 Diamond Rated hotel, and amazing features such as a spa and fitness
center, live entertainment and sky-lit restaurants.
The casino floor, newly expanded to cover more than 150,000 square
feet, is open up to players of 21 years and older, although its poker room
accepts players from 18 years old.
